What's winter and Christmastime without hot chocolate? I love my hot chocolates super rich, sweet and with a generous dollop of whipped cream. That's why I also use a decent amount of actual chocolate in this in addition to cocoa powder and sugar. This makes a fairly generous serving considering how rich it is, so you might even want to serve this in two smaller mugs and share with someone you love! I'm sure they'll appreciate it ;)
Ingredients:
40g chopped dark vegan chocolate
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2-3 tbsp water
A pinch of salt
260ml oat milk (I recommend Oatly barista)
Toppings: Vegan whipped cream
Chopped dark chocolate
Method:
Add cocoa powder, water and sugar to a saucepan, whisk over medium heat until it’s all dissolved and starts to simmer. Add chopped chocolate, cook over low-medium heat until the chocolate is melted, gradually add the oat milk and salt while whisking and bring up to a low simmer again. Serve with your fave vegan whipped cream and some more chopped chocolate.
