I'm not going to lie I was a little bit nervous about eating this because I am mildly allergic to peaches, however I got luck this time and got away without any itching at all! Yeah I'm not sure how my allergies work either, they're not serious but sometimes/most of the time when I eat stone fruits my tongue and lips tend to get a bit itchy, I still treat myself to some during the summer though because I just can't resist! And let me tell you, this peaches and cream porridge was the PERFECT way to enjoy some incredibly delicious peaches.
Ingredients:
40g oats
40ml full fat coconut milk
200g plant based milk of choice
10g vegan vanilla protein
35g ripe mashed banana
1/2tsp cardamom
a pinch of salt
Toppings: fresh peaches, coconut milk, cashews, maple syrup and cinnamon
Method: Add all ingredients for the porridge into a pot and simmer until it reaches your desired consistency. Add to a bowl. Slice your peach(es) and add as much as you want on top along with a few more spoonfuls of full fat coconut milk, some chopped cashews, maple syrup and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
