I've been trying to make sure I've covered all my favourite basic meals in recipes on the blog and so these chocolate oats were next in line. Super rich and chocolatey but made with very simple ingredients and ready in about 10 minutes, these are perfect as both a weekend treat or an everyday meal! Ingredients: 40g quick oats
10g cocoa powder
200g sweetened plant based milk*
40g mashed banana
*You can also use an unsweetened milk and add sugar/maple syrup to taste
Method:
To a pot, simply add all the ingredients and simmer until it starts to thicken (note that it will thicken more as it cools so leave it slightly more runny that you would like, add more water or milk if needed). Transfer to a bowl and top with chopped chocolate, nut butter, banana and a splash of milk. Enjoy!
