This one's another recipe in collaboration with Veego protein, this time using their rich chocolate flavour to make some ultra delicious chocolate hazelnut waffles! I know what you're thinking; just in time for the weekend, is this timing perfect or what? As always please tag me if you make
Ingredients:
40g whole wheat flour
60g all purpose flour
20g chocolate protein (I used this one) 5g cocoa powder
7g sugar
1tsp baking powder
0,25 tsp salt
200g plant milk
30g hazelnut butter
Mix all ingredients except the hazelnut butter and plant milk in a bowl until well combined. In a separate bowl, mix the plant milk and hazelnut butter until the nut butter is fairly well dissolved into the milk. Pour the wet mixture into the dry and mix until combined. Preheat your waffle iron, grease it well with and spoon in about half of the mixture (the amount required will depend on the type of waffle iron you have) and cook until there is no more steam escaping from the sides of the waffle iron, as that means it has cooked through. If you find the waffle is still sticking when you try to open it leave it for a few more minutes as that may indicate it's not fully cooked yet. Leave to cool for a bit before adding your favourite toppings and a drizzle of maple syrup before eating. I suggest more hazelnut butter, coconut yoghurt, fruit and a Veego chocolate protein bar.
