Sometimes I can't decide if I want a chocolate or fruit-flavoured breakfast, so why not combine it into one delicious breakfast dish? This bowl features a delicious creamy chocolate porridge topped with some warm and cinnamon flavoured apple chunks. A perfect way to start the day!
Apple topping:
1 apple
½ tbsp vegan butter
½ tsp cinnamon
A pinch salt
0,5 tbsp granulated sugar
0,5 tbsp brown sugar
Oats:
40g quick oats
10g cocoa powder
250g unsweetened plant based milk
15g chocolate protein powder
1stp sugar
40g mashed banana
Method:
Chop the apple and add to a pan or saucepan along with the rest of the ingredients. Cook until the apple chunks are soft and golden. Add all ingredients for the oats into a separate saucepan and simmer for about 5 minutes or until thickened. Transfer to a bowl, top with your apple chunks and any other toppings you might like, such as peanut butter, chocolate or maple syrup. Enjoy!
