Carrot cake waffles... They're, tasty, wholesome and here just in time for easter. Perfect if your craving a sweet treat but not in the mood for a whole baking session.
Ingredients
70g whole wheat flour
15g vanilla protein powder
1tsp flax seeds
180g mylk
10g lemon juice
50g grated Carrot
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
A pinch of salt
1tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
Mix together your mylk and lemon juice and leave to curdle. In a bowl, add your flour, protein powder, flax seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking powder and baking soda and whisk well to combine. Gradually add in your wet mix, stir to combine and fold in your grated carrot. Grease your waffle iron and cook the waffles until crispy and golden. Top with whatever toppings you'd like!
