Is there anything better than pie during fall? Honestly I don't know, but I sure love this quick and easy breakfast version of an apple pie! These apple pie oats have all the flavours of apple pie but takes about 2-3hours less time to make!
Ingredients
40g quick oats
200g plant milk
10g vegan salted caramel protein (I use macro mike)
40g mashed ripe banana
Cinnamon apple topping:
1 Apple
0.5tsp Cinnamon
2 tsp Sugar
A splash of water
1/2tbsp butter
A pinch of salt
Topping:
Toasted walnuts
Maple syrup Peanut Butter Mix all ingredients for the oatmeal together in a pot. Bring to a simmer and cook until it reaches your desired consistency. While the oats are cooking, chop your apple into cubes and add to a pan with the rest of the ingredients for the apple topping. Cook on medium heat until the apples are tender and golden brown. Add more water or butter as needed during the cooking process. To serve, add your cooked oats to a bowl and top with the cinnamon apples, peanut butter, walnuts and maple syrup. Enjoy!
